The Opportunity

Are you an experienced dog bather or groomer ready to advance your career? We are searching for an energetic, safety-oriented individual who is passionate about dogs and dedicated to delivering their best work at every appointment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. The position will initially be around 20 hours per week with the potential to grow into a full-time role.   Additional work days could be added as a pet stylist depending on experience. 

Please note: Applicants without previous professional dog bathing/grooming experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Grooming & Bathing Services:

• Perform comprehensive bathing, blowouts, brush-outs, and de-shedding services according to our high standards.
• Execute junior grooming tasks, including face, foot, and "fannie" shaping.
• Provide essential wellness services: nail trimming/grinding, gland expressions, teeth cleaning, and ear cleaning.
• Conduct thorough assessments of each pet's coat condition, skin health, and overall well-being, communicating any concerns clearly to pet owners.

Customer & Operational Support:

• Provide guidance and instructions to self-service customers on proper bathing techniques.
• Ensure all self-service tubs and washing bays are cleaned, sanitized, and prepared for the next customer promptly.
• Operate point-of-sale systems and scheduling software efficiently.
• Educate pet owners on proper home care techniques and recommend appropriate grooming products.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in professional dog bathing and junior grooming (preferred).
• Demonstrated knowledge of various dog breeds, standard care practices, and grooming tools.

Skills & Abilities:

• Reliability is paramount: We are a small team and depend on every employee arriving on time for all scheduled shifts.
• Ability to maintain a calm and compassionate demeanor, leveraging different techniques when working with anxious or nervous dogs.
• Strong attention to detail and consistent delivery of high-quality service.
• Excellent customer service skills dedicated to providing 5-star experiences.
• Physical stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adhere to appointment schedules.

Benefits & Perks

Pay starting at $15 per hour plus tips which average $5-$7/hr,  dependent on the level of service you provide.  Pay increases are based on performance, customer experience, and reliability.
